Extended Hours

* These 3 sessions each week are for pre-booked appointments only. During annual leave, these surgeries may be subject to change.

Surgery times may vary at both sites according to the availability of the doctors.

Out of Hours Service

If you have an urgent need to see or speak to a doctor outside the normal opening hours of either surgery, please call the direct line: 0844 412 1105 or NHS 111.

The out-of-hours service will contact the most appropriate healthcare professional, who will call you back to discuss your problem and after taking a full history, will either:

  • Give advice over the phone
  • Ask to assess you at the out-of-hours GP surgery
  • Visit you at home
  • Admit you to hospital directly via 999 ambulance

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours, unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

NHS 111

In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call NHS 111 on 111.

The NHS 111 service is staffed by a team of fully trained advisers, supported by experienced nurses. They will ask you questions to assess your symptoms, then give you the healthcare advice you need or direct you straightaway to the local service that can help you best. That could be A&E, an out-of-hours doctor, a walk-in centre or urgent care centre, a community nurse, an emergency dentist or a late-opening chemist.

Where possible, the NHS 111 team will book you an appointment or transfer you directly to the people you need to speak to. If you need an ambulance, one will be sent just as quickly as if you had dialled 999. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

Emergencies

Call 999 for life-threatening emergencies.

Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
